Food Share

The Waikanae Food Share provides access to food and other essential items for those in need.

If you are in need of food assistance please send us a facebook message or an email. Note that responses may take 24 hours.

We are grateful for any donations. We regularly need:

Fresh fruit
Fresh vegetables
Canned food of all kinds
Spreads of all kinds
Cereal of all kinds
Pasta

Rice
Tea
Coffee
Hot Chocolate
Cleaning products
Hygiene Products

Food can be dropped off when St Luke’s office is open, on a Sunday morning, or during the drop-ins below.

Non-perishable food can also be dropped of to St Luke’s between 8am and 10am on Fridays. Please place your donation on the front steps of the church.

You can also donate direct into our bank account, Parish of Waikanae, ANZ, 01 0731 0019880 03. Please put ‘foodshare’ in the reference. If you would like a donation tax receipt, please also email parishmanager@anglican.co.nz.

Weekly Drop-ins

Every Friday we stock and open a simple free food shop at St Luke’s church in Waikanae. We welcome everyone, every week and share what we have with whoever comes.

Come along to St Luke’s, Elizabeth Street, Waikanae, 10:15-11:00am on Fridays and shop for a share of our groceries for free.

If you are unwell, isolating or vulnerable you can request a delivery.
