Ever wanted to be involved in music ministry or technical support? Why not Connect music and technology?

 

 

Our purpose

Through the medium of music, our purpose is to lead the Connect congregation into a deeper and more meaningful place of worship as we ourselves worship our amazing Lord. It is such a privilege to serve God and the body in this way. We know that music and technical support are only a small aspect of a life style of worship, but it is the one we are most concerned with here.

 

 

Description

We have three bands each with their own unique style. We are always on the look-out for drummers, bass-players, guitarists, keyboardists, or singers. If you think you have a music gift that needs expression we want to speak with you.

 

Great music or preaching don't happen all by itself but relies on a good team of audio and video operators. If you are interested in serving through the operation of a sound desk or datashow we would also love to speak with you.

 

Eligibility

To be involved in the Connect Music Ministry, you need a worshiping heart and the right skills. Whilst performance is never the aim, a high standard is necessary to facilitate rather than detract from worship. Concomitantly, one needs to be committed to the Connect worshiping community.

 

Time commitment

Generally, people are scheduled onto one or more of three bands. There is a practice on the Thursday night before each service. To be committed to the Connect Music Ministry means being committed to practicing. We also meet together from time to time to learn new music and discuss how things are going.

 

Depending on which band you are allocated, technical support has the in-enviable task of setting-up Sunday mornings from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. and packing-down after the Connect service 11:30 p.m. - 12:00 p.m.

If you do not have access to the folder contact the website administrator who will add you to the connect music and technology user group.
